Hey Everyone! We're bringing our blog back to highlight a lot of awesome developments for ilovesweets! Right off the bat, we’re so happy to say that we have been continuing our support of the Northwestern University Dance Marathon organization who held their 49th annual event this past weekend (March 3-5, 2023). For over 20 years, ilovesweets has donated cookies to this entirely student-run event, which raises money for the Evanston Community Foundation and one rotating beneficiary each year.

The Dance Marathon is a 30-hour event that brings together Northwestern students, alumni, and supporters to raise significant funds. The rotating beneficiary is usually chosen based on their commitment to helping children and young people in need. Over the years, the Dance Marathon has raised millions of dollars for charities such as the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and the Danny Did Foundation. This year, Little Heroes League was selected. LHL is a nonprofit organization that provides care coordination services to the most medically complex babies born in Chicagoland and beyond.

ilovesweets is so damn proud to be a part of this incredible event! Our donation of 2,000 cookies not only provides sustenance for the dancers and volunteers, but also serves as a symbol of our support for the cause. We believe it is important to give back to the community, and the Dance Marathon provides an excellent opportunity to do just that.

This year, NUDM raised over $434,000 for the two charities, building upon their legacy of raising over $22 million for more than 38 different charitable organizations since 1975. We look forward to joining up with our sister company, Simply Delicious Snacks, to add plant-based cookies and bakery treats to the overall contribution in 2024, celebrating the 50th annual dance marathon. We will be honored to further support this event and the amazing work that it does to help children in need and enrich the community of Evanston as a whole. We look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come and to making a positive impact on the world, one cookie at a time.
